The Client: It's the Technical department of the world's largest automotive manufacturer which makes hybrid-powered & gas-powered cars, pickups, minivans, and SUVs. The parent company also makes forklifts and manufactured housing, and offers financial services too.
Business Challenges: Client has many simulink models for the design of the specific parts of the automobile. These simulink models needed to be managed and version controlled. Also, tags were necessary to unite the simulink models with necessary 'm' scripts and other data required for simulation of the model.
The Solution: A base model was prepared that acted as a proof of concept. After rigorous technical reviews, 'subversion' is chosen as a version control software. A scalable, robust system was developed to manage addition, updation and audit control of the models in the subversion. Displaying of history, search for old and new versions and tagging a project was incorporated in the proposed system.
The Acty India Approach: The system was developed using Simulink platform. It was designed to reflect the state of the art configuration parameterization and scalability to be integrated with third-party softwares. Rapid application development methodology concept was used for the design.

The Client: A large musical instrument manufacturer and an established leading producer of semiconductors.
Business Challenges: The client produces display controllers capable of creating highly colorful graphic images and animation in a low cost system configuration. In a bid to rapidly expand it's product portfolio into the consumer electronics markets, the client wanted a userfriendly tool capable of importing raw graphical images and creating animation which can finally be played by the display controller. The tool also needed to manage the low memory requirements associated with the display controller configurations.
The Solution: After initial requirements gathering, studying the global best practices, technical approaches and further discussions with the client, the design for the authoring tool was proposed. The proposed GUI would simplify the efforts of the target clients in fully utilizing the capabilities of the display controller. Raw images and animation needed to be converted to a format recognizable by the display controller was also suggested.
The Acty Group Approach: The tool was developed using MFC and COM technology. The tool was designed to have a GUI very much familiar to any content creator. The creation of animation using raw images was made simple using basic interpolation methods. A 2 tier testing methodology was adapted to support global standards and ensure a foolproof authoring tool.

The Client: The Client is a leading Printing device manufacturing company from Japan.
Business Challenges: Client needed high quality support software in optimum cost and time that would work with one of its product called MFP. MFP is multipurpose machine which works as Printer, Scanner, Xerox machine, Fax machine. Client has its own big software team who has developed the Core framework of its OS and application software. Our challenge was to design and develop a plug-in called as Job Log Collector (JLC) which would be managed inside the Core framework. Purpose of this module was to collect the action log generated by the machine on periodic basis and to store it to a secure database. The Client's web application could then retrieve and query this database for checking the activities done on the MFP device. The module had to be developed to handle multiple devices at the same time with minimum load on the CPU.
The Solution: Acty System engineers studied the complex specifications and then designed a scalable logic functionality. JLC module interface was designed similar to other existing plug-in modules such as to fit into the existing core framework. This has enabled the client to now port or migrate the entire application functionality onto any platform without having to recompile and re-architect the code.
The Acty India Approach: A Dll (dynamically linked library) was created with support for acquiring the Log from multiple number of MFP devices by multithreading function for better performance and for it to be stored on any local/ network machine as a temporary file.

The Client: The Client is an R&D Department of a leading semiconductor and hardware manufacturing company from Japan.
Business Challenges: The R&D department got its camera hardware and software manufactured from its own facilities and other partner companies for research work. The Client needed an "All-in-One" kind of an application to run and support its various Factory purpose camera product lines. Also needed live support in the process of its development. With changing camera command specifications and interfaces (such as PCI, USB, Ethernet or Camera-Link); the camera application needed to support it with minimum change in user friendly application interface.
The Solution: A Front End windows base application was designed by Acty Japan to support
all the basic camera operations like Establishing connection with interface of camera,
Disconnecting it, Controlling camera through direct commands, acquiring data frames from
the camera in Single Shot and Continuous shot modes, Showing Graph of Camera output,
Saving camera data to various file formats, allowing control of various features like camera
gain, offset, trigger mode etc through GUI.
At background One Main Control Dll (Dynamic link library) was designed to control various
hardware interface Dlls below which in turn controlled the device drivers. Since a common
control Dll interface was used in the application, there was a minimum change at the
application level.

Business Challenges: The client is on a constant innovation path and hence wanted to change the look and feel of the current CMT system which is used to manage the design of the components used in the simulation models. Client wanted the GUI to be more userfriendly and easy to understand. Acty system was mandated to provide a software solution that enhances efficiency, throughput and conforms to industry standards.
The Solution: The scope was defined and mutually agreed upon with a focus so that it would suit even low skilled workers at the plant. The GUI was fixed and its features like Buttons, Textboxes, Combo (drop-down) boxes, listboxes etc. were aesthetically selected. Also, the older version control software which was running in the background was analysed for any shortcomings. Performance of the system was identified as a serious bottleneck and a schema was created to eliminate the same via better memory utilization.

The Solution: In consultation with the Project leaders and the R&D fraternity at the client's place, Acty System designed a framework that would create a windows based touch screen application that will accept brain waves/impulses data, do necessary algorithmic processing on the data and display that data in different view formats that helps the user in real-time monitoring of the changes in brain oxygenation activities.
The Acty India Approach: Acty India adopted the agile development methodology to enhance and support this real time software monitoring project. Acty India revamped the functionality and screen designs of the application. Through a set of different views such as Single channel graph view, Overlap channel graph view, Long time graph view that help users to do proper monitoring of brain activity.
